The AutoCAD MEP toolset is for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing side of buildings. Ducts, pipes, cable trays, conduits and equipment are intelligent objects that connect, size and annotate themselves, and 2D drawings, sections and schedules stay coordinated with the layout. UK M&E consultants and installation contractors use it for services drawings on projects that are still documented in DWG rather than Revit.

AutoCAD MEP 2026/2027 installs on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 alongside AutoCAD of the same release. Autodesk recommends a multi-core processor, 16 GB of RAM, a DirectX 12-capable graphics card with 4 GB or more and additional disk space for the toolset content libraries.
