AutoCAD Architecture: what the toolset adds to AutoCAD
The AutoCAD Architecture toolset turns AutoCAD into a drafting environment built around architectural objects. Instead of drawing a wall as two parallel lines, you place a wall object with a thickness, height and material; doors and windows cut into it automatically, and sections, elevations and room schedules are generated from the same geometry. For UK practices that document in AutoCAD rather than Revit, it is the quickest way to speed up detailing without changing platform.
