Autodesk Mudbox is a focused digital sculpting and 3D painting application. Where Maya and 3ds Max build the base mesh, Mudbox adds fine detail — skin pores, fabric weave, rock surfaces — through multi-resolution sculpting, then paints colour, bump and displacement maps directly onto the model. A one-click round trip to Maya or 3ds Max keeps the workflow simple.
