Kaspersky Premium sits above Plus, which sits above Standard, and it is the tier that replaced Kaspersky Total Security. All three share the same protection engine against malware, phishing and dangerous websites. What you pay for as you move up is the surrounding set of privacy, identity and support features: Premium includes the unlimited VPN and password manager from Plus, then adds identity-theft protection, a wallet for sensitive documents, remote expert assistance and priority support, plus a year of Kaspersky Safe Kids.

Worth saying plainly: if you already pay for a password manager or have no interest in a VPN, the gap between Premium and the tiers below narrows. Premium earns its price for households that want one subscription covering several people’s phones, laptops and tablets with the extras included rather than bought separately. Kaspersky remains available and supported in the UK. The 2024 restrictions on Kaspersky sales apply in the United States; they do not apply in the United Kingdom, where the consumer products continue to be sold and updated. The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre has separately advised government departments and operators of critical national infrastructure to consider the risks of Russian-headquartered security software for sensitive systems; that guidance is aimed at those organisations rather than home users and small businesses.
